The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) will select an Executive Architect to prepare construction and bid documents and provide construction administration phase services for the Shiley Eye Center Clinical Expansion, located at the UCSD Medical Center, La Jolla campus. This project consists of the preparation of construction documents as well as providing bid phase and construction administration phase services for the Shiley Eye Center Clinical Expansion.
CO Architects of Los Angeles, California, the original architect for the facility, has provided the preliminary design for this project. In conformance with the Public Contract Code and University policy, when the proposed scope of services is expected to result in a contract amount that exceeds $100,000, the University is required to conduct a formal consultant selection process. Since the anticipated amount for the services required in support of this project will exceed that threshold, the University will make the selection in accordance with such procedures. The estimated cost of construction is $5,200,000 at CCCI 4835.
