Caitlin Lempres Brostrom, AIA at OMC Booksigning

Sunday, December 11
OMCA Store
Oakland Museum of California

Meet authors Caitlin Lempres Brostrom, AIA, and Richard C. Peters, FAIA, on the launch of their new book The Houses of William Wurster: Frames for Living from Princeton Architectural Press. Over the course of a career that spanned forty-five years, William Wurster (1895–1973) designed hundreds of residences up and down the West Coast. Wurster described these homes as “frames for living.” For the book, the authors draw upon extensive historical research as well as personal relationships with Wurster to tell the story of his career. The book features new and archival footage of thirty-three of the architect’s best-known houses and includes a foreword by Donlyn Lyndon, FAIA.

2 pm Short presentation, followed by book signing
