Woodworks had the opportunity to host a lunch time presentation in Oakland on Tuesday, July 27th and San Francisco on Wednesday, July 28th and thought you’d be interested in attending. Topic: Fire-Rated Cementitious Coated OSB in Wall and Roof Sheathing Applications

This course covers the basics of how Fire-Rated Cementitious Coated OSB (FRCC OSB) sheathing can be used in wall and roof sheathing applications. Topics to be covered include:

1. The components of FRCC OSB.
2. How FRCC OSB meets building codes.
3. The impact of FRCC OSB (the use of it) on the environment.
4. Testing standards relevant to FRCC OSB.
5. Sustainability benefits of FRCC OSB.

Speaker: James R. Dukart, National Sales Manager, International Barrier Technology Corporation

James joined Barrier Technology in 2007 as National Sales Manager for Blazeguard Fire-Rated Sheathing. Prior to Barrier, Mr. Dukart was a national sales manager for a marine products company, and prior to that, for 15 years he was a national trade magazine editor and writer focusing on the a variety of topics including building materials. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) and is a member of the Associates Committee of the Builders’ Association of the Twin Cities in Minneapolis.
