VACANCIES ON THE EL CERRITO DESIGN REVIEW BOARD AND PLANNING COMMISSION

The El Cerrito City Council announces upcoming vacancies on the city’s Design Review Board (DRB) and Planning Commission. The DRB reviews all development (public and private), including all buildings, site layouts, and signing in all districts, except single-family, for the purpose of encouraging quality design. The DRB also hears appeals of administrative decisions. The Planning Commission advises the City Council in matters relating to planning and the physical development of the City. Serving on a board or commission can be a rewarding experience for community service-minded residents. It is an excellent way to participate in the functioning of local government and to make a personal contribution to the improvement of the El Cerrito community. All residents interested in serving on these important legislative bodies are invited to submit an application for consideration to the City Clerk no later than November 20, 2009.
