This half-day course will provide the students with a working knowledge and understanding of the Universal Design concept, beyond Title 24 and the ADA. This class will delve into the state and federal laws leading to this latest level of accessibility provisions. Students will be introduced to the seven principles of Universal Design and their practical application as they relate to the built environment. This course will explore the mandated statutory requirements, and voluntary provisions contained in California state law. This course is applicable to all Building Inspectors, Plans Examiners, Counter Technicians, Building Officials, City Management, Building Designers and Architects.
