Building Under the California Green Building Code

Designing and building under Part 11 of the Title 24, the California Green Building Standards is a small portion of going Green. *Compliance with Part 11 does not eliminate or alleviate compliance with the other parts of the building regulations.* Opening up a building for light and ventilation may require applying the atrium provisions of the code. Other required fire separations will need to be addressed to provide safety for the occupants and building.

This program will look at how green design can create challenges for compliance with other portions of the code related to fire and life safety.
