ArchiCAD User Group: Special Guest Presentation on Visualization

Dan Hruby, founder of "Visualize It Built" has developed highly detailed renderings for local firms. He will discuss how he uses Maxwell Render and Luxology's Modo to visualize designs developed within ArchiCAD. The following is a brief overview of these two solutions:
  • Maxwell Render is a physically correct, unbiased rending engine. By calculating complex mathematics, Maxwell Render is capable of simulating light exactly as in the real world. Unbiased means Maxwell Render does not use tricks to imitate real world behavior like other renderers. Maxwell Render has been acclaimed as a landmark in next-generation rendering technology.
  • Luxology's Modo delivers the next evolution of 3D modeling, painting and rendering in a single integrated and accelerated package for the Mac and PC. And now, modo is a true end-to-end solution that includes true 3D sculpting tools, animation and network rendering! More than just features, modo is a truly elegant integration of technology, raw horsepower and refined workflow.
Daniel Hruby, LEED AP is the founder of Visualize It Built, an ArchiCAD/BIM Production and consulting firm in Oakland, CA. Daniel has 15 years of experience with ArchiCAD and specializes in rendering ArchiCAD models in both Maxwell Render and Luxology's Modo. He has worked extensively with local firms such as Graphisoft US, BAR Architects and Walker Warner Architects providing ArchiCAD related services including 3D modeling, construction documentation and presentation rendering. Daniel holds an Environmental Design degree from University of Colorado, Boulder.
