San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission: Climate Change Planning Project
In 1965 the Bay Conservation and Development Commission was established to keep the Bay from getting smaller. It has done that, but now global warming has created a new challenge: sea level rise is making the Bay bigger. Will Travis, the executive director of BCDC, will explain how the agency works and how climate change will affect the Bay Area and will discuss the critical role the architectural profession plays in addressing global warming.
Time: 12 noon
Location: AIA East Bay Chapter Office, 1405 Clay St, Oakland
This program open to all.
