Learning Lunch: Wide Span Opening Protectives

This presentation is an overview of IBC 2009 and CBC 2010 chpaters 7 & 10. The five types of interior walls, their applications and code requirements for opening and protecting openings will be discussed. Attendees will see examples of accordion fire doors used in the means of egrees and examples of U.L. listed 20, 60, 90 and 180 minute accordion style horizontal fire doors and 1 and 2 hour movable fire walls in use around the globe in high profile projects to meeting code and design challenges. A review of Won-Door's ICC ES report will be included.

Catherine Tubbs joined the Won-Door Corporation as District Manager in 2005. She has been recognized by Won-Door as the Rookie of the Year, President's Club, Million Dollar Club, and the Bronze Service Awards. Catherine has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola Marymount University.

Catherine is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and is a certified Construction Document Technologist. Since 2005 she has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Association of General Contractors, Los Angeles District.
