Creating Meaningful Experiences Through Climatology

Climatology is a process for innovation that focuses less on what current market trends are than on why those trends exist - a service that is the foundation for a sound strategic planning and design process. Climatology is a comprehensive temperature reading of the political, social, emotional and economic influences that make profound differences in our everyday lives. Laura Guido-Clark will discuss how she uses her proprietary process to create inspired design solutions and CMF that anticipate needs and resonate with the human spirit.

Laura Guido-Clark is an expert in the skin of consumer products - their color, materials and finish. For over twenty years Laura has studied the surprising ways that people react to the look and feel of products and the influences that drive buying decisions. Her ability to translate those influences into prescient forecasting and concrete applications of color and finish has helped companies such as HP, Samsung, Kodak, Mattel and Toyota design products that resonate with consumers and succeed in competitive markets. Her expertise in textile design and materials is evident in her work with contract companies such as HBF, Pallas, Steelcase and Coalesse.
