Committee on the Environment Forum: Combining Residential HERS II Energy Rating Services into an Architectural Practice

Over the past decade applied building science has highlighted sources of energy inefficiencies in our homes. In response to these inefficiencies, the California Energy Commission has adjusted it's energy code and the Federal Government is launching a national Existing Home retrofit program (Home Star). Paul Welshchmeyer, AIA will look at residences with efficiency improvements of 30% to 50% and discuss how these improvements were made possible with HERS II Ratings.
