Design Tour: Oakland Residence

Perched high above the San Francisco Bay, on a sloping site, this home has capitalized on it's breathtaking panoramic views of the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge. Spare and rigorously modern in it's aesthetics, the house employs just a handful of materials and even fewer colors. Finished concrete floors, steel and glass window systems, and a mostly white composition of cabinetry, finishes and furnishings define a minimalist style of living.

Kanner Architects is an award-winning design studio that recently celebrated 60 years of architectural practice. Stephen Kanner is the third member of his family to head the firm. His grandfather I. Herman Kanner founded the firm in 1946. In 1998, Stephen took over for his father, Charles, who led the firm for 24 years. The result is a firm rich in ideas and the knowledge to bring them to life. Come join us and experience the internationally recognized work of Kanner architects.
