The El Cerrito City Council announces a vacancy on the city’s Design Review Board (DRB). The DRB reviews all development (public and private), including all buildings, site layouts, and signing in all districts, except single-family, for the purpose of encouraging quality design. The DRB also hears appeals of administrative decisions. Serving on a board or commission can be a rewarding experience for community service-minded residents. It is an excellent way to participate in the functioning of local government and to make a personal contribution to the improvement of the El Cerrito community. All residents interested in serving on this important quasi-adjudicatory body are invited to submit an application for consideration no later than December 5, 2008.
